 FALL BASEBALL

Registration July 7th - August 8th.

August 11-13th:

Draft evaluation workouts – No contact will be made prior to the workouts.  All players should report to Akzo Nobel Park at 5:00 p.m.  If you are unable to attend the workouts, a coach will contact you after August 13 and before the first practice.

Games:

Games (every Monday & Wednesday). Aug 25 - Oct. 1   No games Sept. 1st – Labor Day.

LEAUGE STRUCTURE

PEE WEE LEAGUE (4, 5, 6 YEAR OLDS):  This is an INSTRUCTIONAL COACH-PITCH LEAGUE. 

ROOKIE LEAGUE (6, 7, 8 YEAR OLDS):  This is an INSTRUCTIONAL COACH-PITCH LEAGUE.  Coaches will continue to teach the boys the fundamentals of the game; but at the same time they will begin to develop some of the more advanced requirements of the game. 

MINOR AMERICAN LEAGUE (8, 9, 10 YEAR OLDS):  This is an INTERMEDIATE KIDS-PITCH LEAGUE.  Boys will continue to be taught the fundamentals of baseball.  Coaches will be required to rotate players between infield and outfield positions. 

MINOR NATIONAL LEAGUE (10 YEAR OLDS ONLY):  This is an ADVANCED KIDS-PITCH LEAGUE.  Only 10-year olds may register for this league; however, in order to balance rosters some 9-year olds may be selected to play up based on baseball knowledge and abilities (determined by league officials). 

MAJOR AMERICAN LEAGUE (11 & 12 YEAR OLDS):  This is an INTERMEDIATE KIDS-PITCH LEAGUE.  Boys will continue to be taught the fundamentals of baseball.  Coaches will be required to rotate players between infield and outfield positions.

PONY LEAGUE (13 YEAR OLDS ONLY):  This is a COMPETITIVE TRAVELING LEAGUE.  Only 13-year olds may register for this league.  Boys will start to develop more advanced skills in a competitive environment. 

BABE RUTH LEAGUE (14 & 15 YEAR OLDS):  This is a COMPETITIVE TRAVELING LEAGUE.  Only 14 and 15-year olds may register for this league.  Boys will continue to develop more advanced skills in a competitive environment.

April 8  .............................................. First Practice (parent/coach meeting before practice begins)

April 12  ............................................ Bayport Youth Baseball Clinic: 9:00 a.m. – Noon (Grades K-6)

April 8 – May 1  ................................ Pee Wee/Rookie/Minor/Major Leagues - Practices/Scrimmages  (Tuesday and Thursday only)

April 7 – May 15  ............................. Pony and Babe Ruth – Two practices a week  (Monday thru Thursday)

May 6 – June 26  ............................ Pee Wee/Rookie/Minor/Major Leagues Games and Play-offs  (Tuesdays & Thursdays only) 

May 10  ............................................. Run for Diamonds  - all Minor and Major League teams play
