2008 H.Y.S.A. Flag Football Calendar
- July Registration forms mailed to last year’s players (return by mail).
- August 4 Registration forms available at the Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave.
- August 16 Registration deadline. $5 late fee applies after this date.
- September 4 Coaches meeting, Thursday, 7:00 PM at the Pinewood Enclosed Shelter
- September 6 Season begins with practices & games at Akzo Nobel (Pinecrest)
- October 11 Last Saturday of the season.

2008 H.Y.S.A. Flag Football Information
- Season: The Flag Football season runs 6 consecutive Saturdays from September 6 through October 11. Practice and play will be held on Saturdays only, at the Akzo Nobel (Pinecrest) Sports Complex.
- Leagues: Ages 6-7: practice 8-9am, game 9-10am
Ages 8-9: practice 9-10am, game 10-11am
Ages 10-up: practice 10-11am, game 11-12noon
Depending on the number of teams in each league there may be some differences in the actual schedule. However, no practice/games will start before 8:00 or end after 12 noon.
- Teams: Co-ed, boys and girls are encouraged to play. Teams will be made up of players from the same school as much as possible. We stress participation and fun over competitiveness.
- Concession Stand: Limited snacks and refreshments available. Parent will be required to volunteer this year from 8am to 12noon.
- Akzo Nobel (Pinecrest) Sports Complex: All practices and games are at Akzo Nobel (Pinecrest), utilizing the outfields of the 4 baseball fields.
- Volunteer Coaches: To make Flag Football a success, coaches are needed for all leagues. The role of the coach is to lead the team and serve as an instructor in the skills of flag football. Your participation is much appreciated by all of the youth. If interested, please sign up on your child’s registration form.
- Paid Referees: Referees are needed for all games. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Gary Ayotte @ 434-0832 or email: hysa_flagfootball@yahoo.com
